The 2025 Ferrari Challenge Australasia roared to life at Victoria’s iconic Phillip Island circuit, and Cameron Campbell of Campbell Racing Team wasted no time making his mark.
Race 1: Fast Out of the Gates
Saturday’s qualifying session saw Campbell clock in a strong performance, securing a front-row start alongside Ferrari Sydney’s Antoine Gittany, who set the fastest time of the day. When the lights went out, Gittany got the jump, but Campbell stayed right in the fight—holding off pressure from behind and delivering a smooth, composed drive to finish second. It was a solid podium and an excellent statement to kick off round 2.
Race 2: From Setback to Comeback
Sunday brought windier conditions and unexpected drama. Gittany was forced to start from pit lane due to tire issues, moving Campbell effectively into pole position. But early in the race, Cameron ran wide briefly dropping to ninth.
What followed was a textbook comeback. With calm focus and precision driving, Campbell picked his way through the field lap by lap. By the chequered flag, he had worked his way back to P5—a gritty recovery that kept his points tally strong and showed serious mental toughness.
Next Stop: The Chase Continues
With Phillip Island behind him and a trophy already in the bag, Cameron now turns his attention to the next round of the Ferrari Challenge Australasia. Stay tuned as the Campbell Racing Team gears up for more action and more podiums in what’s shaping up to be a thrilling season.
