The 2025 Ferrari Challenge Australasia returned to Sydney Motorsport Park for Round 3 of the season, held from May 2–4. The Campbell Racing Team faced a weekend of highs and lows, demonstrating resilience and determination on the 3.93 km circuit.
Race 1: Consistent Performance Amidst Challenges
In Race 1, Campbell delivered a steady performance, navigating the technical layout of Sydney Motorsport Park with precision. Despite facing stiff competition, he maintained a competitive pace throughout the race. With an overall 4th position and 3rd in the Trofeo Pirelli class Campbell’s efforts contributed valuable points towards his championship campaign.
Race 2: Overcoming Adversity
Race 2 presented great early speed with a bold move into 2nd on Enzo Cheng, but in finding the limit of the 296 Challenge car with an early spin at Turn 7 necessitated a pit stop for a systems check, resulting in a loss of position. Demonstrating tenacity, Campbell rejoined the race and completed the remaining laps, securing crucial points despite the setback. This performance underscores his commitment to the championship and ability to recover under pressure.
Championship Standings and Looking Ahead
Following the Sydney round, Campbell holds third place in the Trofeo Pirelli standings with 38 points, trailing Jim Pollicina (44 points) and leader Antoine Gittany (67 points).
The next round of the Ferrari Challenge Australasia is scheduled for June 28–29 at Sydney Motorsport Park, offering Campbell another opportunity to improve on this layout and aim for another podium position.
